Briefcase travelers appreciate the "amazingly comfortable" beds, "excellent" workout facilities and "helpful" staff at this La Jolla hotel in a "business district" that's "close to shopping"; still, many vacationers, disappointed to find it's "miles from Downtown, the beaches and any touristy things", say they dislike swimming in a "weird combo of pool and weight room", and cite an "excessive" parking fee.

The king bed was very spacious and comfortable.
Walking through clouds of people smoking in the front of the hotel was distasteful.
The hotel was very nice. I wish the check-in time was a little earlier. I would definitely stay here again.

The parking is very expensive.
The hotel tricks you into staying at a very low rate only to charge 20 dollars a night for parking, I'm never staying here again.

Marriott uses Quality Plumbing Fixtures.
Room felt too small for the star rating.
Liked the location, the Quality overall was great. Did not like the smaller room and did not like the huge bar in the lobby with a lot of businessmen drinking....Did not feel like a family atmosphere at all and made my wife and me feel uncomfortable. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff was helpful and cordial.
This hotel was exactly what you expect from a Marriott. It was clean and very well kept. The bed was very comfy and I would definitely recommend it.
